Universal Studio Singapore Part 1– From New York to USS

Trip to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) was fun and it was a thrill experience for me and my family. Especially Azeem who at first hesitant to go but finally he was the one who enjoy the most. Azzam missed all the daredevil rides because of his height, some thrill rides likes roller coasters and simulation ride (battlestar galactica and mummy) got height requirements.

We drove from KL to Seremban. At 3.30 am, we reached Seremban to take a bus. The 4 hours drive was so tiring since we slept in seating position. Unload our stuff at NEW YORK Hotel in Johor Bahru. Next, we need to pass through 2 CIQ (Custom, Immigration and Quarantine) checkpoints, Iskandar and Woodland. Don’t forget to bring the passport and a complete IMM27E form. Can get the form at the hotel or CIQ checkpoints.

Luckily I came with my family if not, should try my luck at the casino.

Got the ticket.

My advice that if you got some extra buck, get the “VIP” superstar pass. The advantage to have the pass is that you have the privilege to skip the queue line to all entertainment and can get some discount on merchandise and dinning. Just show your pass to the gate keeper and they will let you in and don't need to hassle to queue up for 1 to 2 hours for a ride. Unbelievable, we need to queue up to 1 hour and 45 min to get the Transformer Ride... crazy.

Study the layout and map, plan the visit carefully because some adventures/ shows got queue time and fixed show time. Please bring along the rain coat or umbrella. Most of time was raining especially in November, December and January. Can buy the rain coat from the USS staff at SGD2 per coat.

There are sufficient facilities at the USS, i.e. restaurants with halal for Muslim, ATM for easy cash withdraw, water cooler, restroom and a smoking area. We got our lunch at Oasis Spice Café, our damage was SGD150 for 6 pax.

The whole day was so fun and entertained, will show more of our experience in my coming blog. Before we exit, there was a fire work show. Quite ok but when we was at Hong Kong Disneyland, the fire work show was so nice and beautiful.
